This audio set features sessions from one of Renee Swope's popular conference series.
Session 1: I Can't Find It - This session opens with laughter, reminiscing and the realization that few of us know what we are really looking for. We'll prepare for our search by look backing before we look ahead, by looking within before we look around, knowing that our past has shaped who we are and what we want. Using the word SEARCH as our guide, we'll prepare to Stop, Examine, Ask, Respond, Commit and Hold on to God's grace and truth as we follow Jesus on a hunt for hidden treasures in our everyday lives.
Session 2: Show Me Lord, I'm Looking - We'll follow Jesus to the well where we meet a thirsty woman who is just like us. Here we discover that Jesus offers the treasure of His love: a love that satisfies; a love that is constant; a love that is unconditional; a love that doesn't fail, even when we do. Here we identify the empty places in our hearts, the things or people we try to fill them with, and respond to Jesus' invitation to drink from Living Water.
Session 3: Speak Lord, I'm Listening - We'll follow Jesus to the home of two hungry women, Mary and Martha. Here we discover that, just like Mary and Martha, we are hungry for answers, approval and assurance. Here Jesus offers us all that we need: Himself, the Bread of Life, the only treasure that can fill and fulfill the hunger of our hearts. This session helps us see that our choices and sense of significance are often based on the voices and noises we respond to every day. Here we identify the lies we believe and the Truth that can set us free.
Session 4: Send Me Lord, I'm Willing - Our search continues as Jesus shows us the treasure of being broken and willing. Today we stop at the tomb of Lazarus. Like Jesus asked Mary, He also asks us to let Him into the "tombs" of our lives where dreams and hopes have died. Here we find the treasure of resurrection life as we trust Him with reckless abandon. We follow Jesus to the cross, to His own tomb and we receive the treasure of forgiveness and restoration He offers us. Here we lay down our brokenness for His broken Body, and find wholeness, as we become His treasured possession, vessels through which God's life is lived and His purposes are fulfilled! |
