Shepherding a Woman's Heart: A New Model for Effective Ministry to Women

We may look at our full slate of Bible studies and women's ministry programs and wonder why women who are hurting don't get involved.  Our beautifully decorated Christmas Luncheon and Spring Teas may not be pulling them in.  While events can be good, the needs of women go deeper than luncheons.

What a woman in pain needs is; a loving shepherd.  Why a shepherd?  Because a shepherd responds with compassion and understanding.  Bev Hislp believes that an effective ministry should involve women who, under the authority of their church's leadership, are shepherds who leads a hurting woman to drink-first sips from a teaspoon, then mouthfuls from a cup, the cup of The Living Water, Jesus Christ.
